Kempton Park licence department steps up for Slipper Day
The day was made even more special when staff enjoyed hot chocolate and coffee sponsored and personally delivered by the manager of Wimpy Woodbridge.
The Kempton Park Motor Vehicle Registration Authority (MVRA) Licence Department joined South Africans in supporting Slipper Day by swapping their work shoes for slippers at the Kempton Park Civic Centre on May 29.
Staff members embraced the spirit of the day, raising awareness and showing support for the children who benefit from the initiative and spend much of their childhood receiving treatment in the hospital.

Receiving and enquiries supervisor Rosinah Ikaneng said initiatives such as Slipper Day serve as an important reminder that many people face serious health challenges and that supporting worthy causes can make a meaningful difference.
“There are people out there who want to help and put a smile on someone’s face. Campaigns like these make it easier to reach out and remind the community that if we all come together, we can make a difference,” she said.
