Mzansi Ballet celebrates South African heritage through dance

From Ekurhuleni to the world, talented students from the Mzansi Ballet Vocational School celebrated Heritage Day through the beautiful language of dance. Different stories, different backgrounds, one stage and one South Africa.

Dressed in vibrant colours symbolising the country’s diverse heritage, the young dancers demonstrated that ballet is part of South Africa’s story, and part of Mzansi.

This Heritage Day, the school celebrated where South Africans come from and what they are becoming: a new generation of young South African artists taking their place in an art form that belongs to them too.
