Local learner gets top ten position for public speaking

She now moves on to the finals in Cape Town in August.

Sylvia Malin from Laerskool Birchleigh made waves in the public speaking community by achieving a top 10 position in the ATKV Public Speaking Competition.

The event brought together talented speakers from all over South Africa and allowed participants to showcase their speaking abilities in front of a live audience and respected adjudicators.

Malin’s performance was captivating, with an eloquent delivery and a meaningful message that resonated with the audience and the adjudicators.

Her passion for her chosen topic – the importance of empathy in a modern world – was clear from the outset, and she held the audience’s attention throughout her presentation.
