Edleen Primary celebrates standout achiever at awards ceremony

Head Girl wins spelling competition.

Edleen Primary School hosted its intermediate phase awards ceremony on November 6, where head girl Mbalentle Keswa was recognised with five gold awards for her academic achievements.

Keswa’s success followed another major accomplishment the day before.

On November 5, she secured first place in the isiZulu Grade 6 District Spellathon for Ekurhuleni North.

Speaking after the ceremony, Keswa said she was proud and grateful for the recognition.

“I am thrilled and honoured. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and excited for what’s next. I really appreciate the support people have shown me,” she said.

“The contest was a bit challenging but exhilarating. My opponents were talented and brilliant, and they really gave me a good challenge. This win symbolises that my dedication and hard work pay off when I put my mind to it.”
