GRATEFUL SENIOR CITIZEN of Edleen writes:
I was informed by my bank to upgrade my debit card for safety reasons.
Since then I’ve had difficulty in accessing the internet and all my beneficiaries, who had to be paid, were removed.
To cut a long story short, in my agitation I decided to draw money to see if the new card was active before I stood in the long queue at the bank. Thinking the card did not work, I entered the bank.
Shortly afterwards I was tapped on the shoulder by a young black woman who informed me I had not taken my money. I was so taken aback, thanked her and she disappeared. I hope she reads this letter as I would have told her how sincerely grateful I am and wish there were more honest people like her, which would make this a great country.
