Children beaten with fist in clear view of cameras

'I will never forget the embarrassing look on your daughter's face after you hit her'

CONCERNED FATHER writes:

I am appalled having to write this letter but being a father myself, I must do something about what I had witnessed on Friday, October 2 at Pick n Pay Kempton Gate inside the Liquor Store at about 5pm.

I saw a woman hitting her two kids, using her fist, on their shoulders inside the store in plain view of everyone there and right in front of CCTV cameras.

If that is how you treat your kids in public, what do you do them at home?

People who treat other people like that contributes to the violent society we find ourselves in today. Let alone that anyone would treat their own children like that?

You should be grateful to have been blessed with those two beautiful kids and should be treating them with respect for the human beings they are. It was a blatant abuse of human rights.

They were obviously excited about the start of the holiday, they were not bothering anyone else, except their irate “dear mother” who proceeded to inflict pain and embarrassment on her own kids. You should be ashamed!

I will never forget the embarrassing look on your daughter’s face after you hit her. She was complaining about the pain long after you hit her.

If I was their father, I would have wanted to know about this. Yes ma’m, you with the golden Volkswagen Golf registration number Z…

Change your ways, lady, you are not contributing constructively to building a peaceful society.

I hope child protection services or the police and the kids’ father insist on viewing the CCTV footage. Shame on you!
