Thieves abandon stolen car on plot

'It’s a nightmare having your car stolen but our thanks and prayers for such kind, helpful people'

JY of Kempton Park writes:

There really are still very good people in this sick, sorry, corrupt country of ours.

I would like to say a very, very big thank you to the people who discovered our stolen car on their plot, they know who they are! They contacted the police and us.

Not only did they do all this, but I was unable to get to the scene where the vehicle was located, so this very kind person, a total stranger, came to my house, fetched me and took me to the car.

After the police had completed fingerprinting and everything, they told me there was some stuff in the car and I could take it. To my utter amazement, in the boot was my husband’s jacket, my jersey and all my shopping I had bought prior to the car being stolen.

What luck, or did the thieves have plans of going back later to collect their “ill-gotten gains” and dismantle the car completely?

It’s a nightmare having your car stolen but our thanks and prayers for such kind, helpful people.

We would also like to say a very big thank you Cherise for all you did while our car was with you. It’s very much appreciated.

Having been in “customer service” myself for many years, it is appreciated the way you kept us informed on a daily basis as to the progress. Service like yours is seldom seen or experienced in these modern days of ours.

Many thanks once again. Keep up the good work and may others learn from you.
