Get some out behind the bushes
There has been enough time to remedy the serious lack of discipline.

SORRY FOR YOU from Terenure writes:
I was quite shocked with regard to the response given by Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesman (“EMPD: These accusations are unfair”).
I find it laughable that they argue that they are understaffed due to mandate, while people have to be subjected and punished and suffer at the hands of criminals daily. For the past seven years at least, I have attempted to get the EMPD to actually respond or answer a telephone call or even get them to respond via email about the municipal by-laws and traffic laws.

They do not respond and have left the task up to the police. While the police may be well meaning in effort, I don’t feel they have read the by-laws. So, while Barry from Terenure may have used the old “get out of the bushes”, I would add “answer your phones and do your work and stop making excuses for seriously poor service delivery”.
I have written letters explaining how students are placed in danger at pedestrian crossings and stop streets, seriously loud music in vehicles delivering children and nothing has been done, not to mention the plethora of things like noise nuisances/disturbance of peace, building over building lines, advertising boards, etc.
I do not know who signs for the budgets but surely if they took the multitude of offenders to book there would either be less offenders or enough money to handle the problems. There has been enough time to remedy the serious lack of discipline.
Please, don’t get me wrong. Some can stay behind the bushes, I am quite content that they do this as well. However, they need to do the other stuff too, no more nonsense excuses please.
