Telkom: ‘Number does not exist’

PART OF LIFE writes:

It is strange how the Telkom fault reporting department says my telephone does not exist but their accounts department knows the number.

My number has been out since beginning of November last year, only coming back on last week – long enough for them to phone and ask if it is working.

I have had this number since 1970.
