To be safe at Arwyp, use its parking

'The parking is manned by Arwyp security at all times of the day and night'

TO be sure you are safe when visiting Arwyp Medical Centre, the hospital advises visitors to use the facility’s designated parking areas.

Chantal Rawbone, spokesman for Arwyp, reacted to a recent letter in Kempton Express warning about the rude behaviour of car guards operating on the surrounding streets.

“We regret what happened. To avoid problems such as these, Arwyp Medical Centre would like to remind everyone that the hospital has its own designated parking for visitors and anyone needing to use the hospital facilities.

“The parking is manned by Arwyp security at all times of the day and night. The car guards are not employees of Arwyp Medical Centre,” Rawbone said.

Nozipho Cele wrote to Express following an incident she witnessed outside the hospital on January 24 outside the Caltex Garage.

“I witnessed them threatening a woman and damaging her car because she wouldn’t pay the R5 they were demanding. She repeatedly stated she didn’t have any money. All sorts of insults were hurled at her,” Cele said.
