Road problems fixed in no time

Let us all report in a polite but assertive manner the problems within our community

PETER KNOTTENBELT of Birchleigh North writes:

Among the many justified complaints regarding service delivery, I am pleased to report that once I took it upon myself to register one with the Kempton Park road authority – the non-standard construction of speed humps on Gertrude Road – it was rectified within two days.

I also reported the lack of painted warnings on the humps on Ysterhout Street in Birchleigh. The job was completed within one week of report. I was impressed with the action and feel quite proud that through the reporting and positive action of the municipality, the damage to cars has been reduced and the safety on the roads improved.

Let us all report in a polite but assertive manner the problems within our community. We might be surprised by the reaction.

I do believe that the informal road connection from Gertrude Road to Sam Molele Drive (link road ) in Tembisa should be at least graded if not properly constructed as a tar connection.

I am unable to find the right reporting structure for this as it is in the Tembisa district and not the Kempton Park/Birchleigh North area.
