Our wheelie bins have to go out on Thursdays. They only come on Saturdays or Sundays or as was the case this week, on Monday.
In the meantime we have these bins standing in the heat for days and it stinks like crazy. We have a fly infestation.
Imagine your neighbour had some fish for supper and the waste had been in his bin for five days standing in the sun, stinking. The flies are horrific.
Then on Monday they came to collect. The driver sees me standing in my driveway painting some gates and with a smile on his face, instructs the workers to pull the plug and empty the water from the bottom of the truck.
I was amazed how fast they drove away after that. I could not breathe with the stench and had to spray the street clean to keep painting.
That was horrible. Was that really necessary? He thought it was funny.
