Some time I ago I read a letter to the editor of Kempton Express from a grateful reader who praised Mr Pleasure Monyane of Kempton Park City Council for his wonderful service rendered.
I have also received superb, empathetic service from Monyane and also from a wonderful colleague of his, Ashmeer Brijlal, concerning some pretty weighty matters.
Both these gentlemen are a credit to the council. Every company or department needs people of this calibre. If only we could clone them.
I regularly notice angry letters from readers complaining about errant customer service from various sources. This is certainly important so as to ensure top service from our government officials.
Every day thousands of transactions are processed without a hitch and many residents receive superb council assistance, but seldom do people go to the trouble to write letters to the media or a superior of a diligent official with high praise when they have received top quality assistance.
This is equally important so the superiors of those hard working officials can be aware of their sterling capabilities and then hopefully they will progress far in their careers.
I certainly hope Monyane and Brijlal get the recognition they richly deserve.
