Dear Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, on behalf of all road users in Kempton Park, thank you.
Thank you for allowing us even more time in our beloved vehicles. Thank you for not attending to traffic bottle necks.
Thank you for allowing taxis and other law-breaking criminals to drive in the emergency yellow lane.
Thank you for blatantly looking away when the same criminal-acting vehicles openly force other law-abiding citizens and their vehicles into compromising positions by pushing their way in front of any and all traffic and at any and all lane changes or intersections.
Thank you for your non-presence at non-functioning traffic lights.
Thank you for a thre to five-vehicle (hiding) presence at a stationary camera. Protecting a multi-million rand revenue generating camera is clearly an extremely important function.
Thank you for allowing us to see the sun coming up. O yeah! And the moon.
Thank you for giving us the most congested roads in Gauteng. No wait! That is Teng. Nothing happens ‘gau’ any more.
Thank you for giving us time to really get acquainted with our fellow congestioners (aka trying-to-get-home fellow Kemptonians).
Thank you for allowing illegal blue light road users to drive as they like and thereby being an ‘accident-in-waiting’.
Thank you for driving in super fast mode with lights flashing and sirens blazing to stop 3.5km down the road at the local supermarket.
In short: Thank you. What would we do without you?
