I would like to pose a question to all political parties in Kempton Park, specifically taking aim at all the promises made before the recent elections.
What are you going to do to force the municipality to get their house in order with regards to the following:
1. The road vendors at the Dann and Monument roads intersection. They pose a safety hazard and in the event that one might be knocked down by a vehicle, who would be blamed?
2. The people day and night kneeling in the middle of the road.
3. The people advertising their painting services by displaying their rollers and brushes on Veld Street from Laerskool Kruinsig up to Maranatha Christian School. The rollers and brushes attached to a long stick obstruct the pavement, thus forcing pedestrians to walk in the road to get past this obstruction.
Not even to mention the hundreds of illegal posters attached to stop signs. This is against the by-laws, but it appears the metro police just do not care.
Ask yourselves the question: Where do these people creating these problems relieve themselves during the day? Well, you want to know, behind the trees, in the gardens and behind electrical boxes.
You have been voted in, now do your job.
