I live in Edleen and the last few nights I have become aware of a continuous noise that seems to be going on the whole night and it is really starting to become frustrating.
It first seemed to sound like an aeroplane flying in the distance, but after a while I noticed that the sound does not come closer or move further away.
Two things are quite certain: the noise is definitely coming from far away and the sound or vibration stays constant. It almost sounds like a vehicle driving on a very long stretch of road, but it seems that the road never ends and stays at the same distance.
I am wondering if it could be a factory that has some kind of generator or huge fan that stays on the whole night. It might even be coming from Modderfontein. All I know is that this noise does not end and I am losing lots of sleep because of this.
Is anyone else also hearing this or am I starting to hear things that aren’t real? And by the way: How do you report noise disturbance to the proper authorities when you can’t pinpoint where the noise is coming from? Anyone out there has any answers?
