Smokeless FC wins 3-2
TSS seemed to take it easy, after apparently underestimating the abilities of the Smokeless FC players.
Smokeless FC defeated the Tembisa South SAPS (TSS) 3-2 in a match played on Friday.
From the onset, Smokeless FC wanted to regain some pride after losing 4-2 to the Tembisa South SAPS members in a previous game.
TSS seemed to take it easy, after apparently underestimating the abilities of the Smokeless FC players.
Smokeless FC attacked hard, showing complete discipline and sportsmanship as they maintained effective communication.
Malusi Masuga scored the first goal, taking Smokeless FC into the lead.
Despite taking an early lead, the TSS players still appeared to treat the opposition tenderly.
Leading 1-0, Smokeless FC demanded their respect as they began launching a number of attempts at goal.
The Smokeless FC goal keeper conceded a goal when a ball bounced over his head.
This allowed TSS to equalise, bringing the score to 1-1.
In the second half, Smokeless FC players continued their good form, moving forward and trying to penetrate the TSS defence.
Smokeless FC’s star, Charles Zuma, showcased his dribbling skills but missed the shot which could have placed his team in the lead.
Not long thereafter, Masuga made up for the missed opportunity with another goal, taking the score to 2-1.
TSS tried to fight back, but the Smokeless FC players tightened their defences.
Despite the pressure from TSS players, Smokeless FC’s General managed to secure a third goal for the youngsters.
TSS was granted a chance to get back into the game when a penalty was awarded to them.
A Smokeless FC player accidentally touched the ball with his hand while attempting to head the ball away from his goal.
TSS took the opportunity to heart and secured the goal, bringing the score to 3-2.
Unfortunately, it was too little, too late, and Smokeless FC remained in the lead when the final whistle blew.
“The boys are skillful and they understand soccer. Stakeholders should really come on board to assist,” said the Smokeless FC coach, Khabo Napo.
Smokeless FC consists of young lads trying to throw off the shackles of nyaope addiction.
