Van Aswegen's record now stands at seven wins, three losses and one draw, out of 11 fights
BOKSBURG boxer Stone van Aswegen beat KwaZulu-Natal boxer Khumbulani Mdleshe in an eight rounds fight on Saturday night, August 16, at the OR Tambo Premier Hotel.
The fight went the distance and van Aswegen won against his opponent based on points. Van Aswegen’s record now stands at seven wins, three losses and one draw, out of 11 fights.
In the other matches in the boxing tournament on the night, Anton Nel knocked out Donovan Luff in the second round of their fight.
Barend van Rooyen won his fight against Elvis Ndlovu based on a technical knockout in the first 38 seconds of the third round, and Emmeny Kolombo stopped Garth Noot.
The next tournament at the hotel will be held on October 31.
