Club catches 365 fish at monthly competition
The competition took place at Moolmans on the Vaal Dam.
KEMPTON Park Angling Association hosted its monthly competition at Moolmans on the Vaal Dam on August 15.
The 37 participating anglers caught 365 fish with a combined weight of 348.665kg.
The winners were:
Seniors: 1. Lloyd Price (16 fish, 23.33kg). 2. Reinhardt Botes (17 fish, 16.73kg). 3. Leslie Sherrin (17 fish, 16.46kg).
Masters: 1. Koos Geldenhuys (21 fish, 22.36kg). 2. Piet Swarts (16 fish, 17.405kg). 3. Nick van Zyl (10 fish, 16.775kg).
Women: 1. Leatitia Jacobsz (eight fish, 4.91kg). 2. Jenny de Bruin (five fish, 7.75kg). 3. Anita Botes (four fish, 4.39kg).
Juniors: 1. AJ van Zyl (10 fish, 19.44kg). 2. Lance Sherrin (14 fish, 13.955kg). 3. Ruben Fourie (five fish, 8.12kg).
Penkoppe: 1. Nicholas Roos (three fish, 1.375kg). 2. Joshua Koedyk (three fish, 1.21kg). 3. Marko Havenga (two fish, 1.065kg).
Species: Carp – AJ van Zyl (3.81kg), grass carp – Jenny de Bruin (3.995kg), mudfish – Leatitia Jacobsz (0.895kg).
