Big Five Golf clinch the trophy at SCGA tournament

The tournament was played over three rounds at George, Outeniqua and Oubaai

A six-member team from Big Five Golf based at Serengeti took part in the annual Southern Cape Golf Academy (SCGA) tournament earlier this month where they walked away with the honours.

The team members were Sebastian Render, Hunter Walker, Michael Ferreira, Dylan Miller, John William Hennings and Mathew Render.

Big Five competed against teams from SCGA (two teams), Western Province Golf Academy, as well as Free State and Northern Cape. The tournament was played over three rounds at George, Outeniqua and Oubaai.

Big Five won all three rounds to end with a total score of 1 221. Second was Free State and Northern Cape (1 302), third Western Province (1 340), fourth Southern Cape 1 (1 379) and fifth Southern Cape 2 (1 541).

In the individual competition, Hunter Walker came second with 235, seven shots behind the winner, Agib Hughes from Free State.

Michael Ferreira (238) was third in the individual competition, Matthew Render (248) was fourth, Dylan Miller (249) was fifth and Sebastian Render (275) was 13th.
