Both teams decided to share the prize.
Thabo “West” Mashaba, the spokesperson for Ward 7 FC, said they came out victorious in previous matches in the Top 8 Tournament.
“Our fist game was against Klipfontein FC, where we drew 1-1 and won 5-4 on penalties. Our second game was against Mapela United and we won 3-2.
“This was our third and final game, ” said Mr Mashaba.
He said his overall take is that his team was able to maintain the pressure.
“Our opponent was strong in the midfield. Our strategy was to get them on counter attacks and playing long balls, because we had a height advantage.
“We took advantage of set pieces, like free kicks and corner kicks. Overall, I am happy we maintained our play,” he said.
