Du Plessis (63) represents SA at world martial arts champs
Du Plessis walked away with a silver and bronze medal in both categories
SHIHAN Danie du Plessis (63) from NOVA Academy in Glen Marais represented South Africa at the World Martial Arts Organisation (WMO) Championships on October 16 to 18 in karate and kickboxing at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby, England.
Du Plessis walked away with a silver and bronze medal in both categories.

“I had the time of my life, I am very proud of my achievements especially fighting against guys 10 years younger than me,” said du Plessis.
Du Plessis is the oldest karate and kickboxing coach in Kempton Park and has been coaching for 35 years.
“It is absolutely my passion and I just want to thank my family, as well as the WMO for the wonderful opportunity and all of the support, and also my son and coach JD du Plessis for all of his support and hard work,” said du Plessis.
