Selekane supports Tembisa golfers
The event will be held at the Kempton Park Country Club.
Mr Billy Selekane, one of the greatest sons of Tembisa, is sponsoring a Tembisa Golf Club even.
The event will be hosted on December 13 and will be held a the Kempton Park Country Club.
Mr Selekane is also known as a businessman in his own right and a well known, internationally acclaimed motivational speaker extraordinaire.
According to the Tembisa Golf Club’s organising secretary Mr Benjamin Monyanyedi, the event will be a better ball stable ford competition.
Mr Monyanyedi said the club’s executive hopes to persuade Mr Selekane to adopt this event as his annual event.
“It has been a great year in golf for Tembisa. All the programmes were successfully concluded. Recently we gave Daveyton and Merafong (Potchefstroom) a great wallop at the Kempton Park Country Club, collecting a R15 000 winner-takes-all cheque.
“We wish to take this opportunity as members of the executive to thank our team of 15 plus their reserves who ensured our great win during that challenge,” said Mr Monyanyedi.
The golfing extravaganza will have prizes to the tune of R6 000.
This tournament is open to all golfers, irrespective of creed, colour, affiliation or locality.
70 percent of the funds raised will go to two charities of Billy’s choice and 30 percent will go to the Tembisa Golf Club development programme.
