A two-day tournament staged at Phomolong over the weekend saw Juno FC showing off its skills as the team rose through the tournament to claim the title.
Juno FC faced Umlilo in the final match of the tournament.
The first goal of the match was an own-goal from Umlilo, which put Juno FC in the lead.Still in the first half, Bannet took advantage of a rebound ball and finished it up, putting the ball into the back of the Umlilo’s net.
Following a foul, the referee awarded Umlilo a penalty kick, which was successfully taken by Jack.
The score was 2-1 at the end of the first half.
Coach Ronald Moremi said Juno FC’s mid-field was strong, with Khutjo and Loxion in charge.
“These two are our key players. Our defence was tight too, we didn’t let them come anywhere near our goal posts,” he said.
There was no substitute in the first 45 minutes of the game.
In the second half, Umlilo was exhausted and Juno FC’s Seema took advantage and drove home a third goal.
The final score was 3-1 in favour of Juno FC
