Tennis youngsters do well in tournament

SEVERAL tennis players of Modderfontein Tennis Club did well at the Gauteng East closed tournament at the end of last year.

The youngsters also play for the Gauteng East provincial squad and receive coaching from Desiré Wilson from Top Tennis Academy.

Kyle van Goethem reached the quarter finals in the singles boys U/16.

Chay van Eck reached the semi-finals in the singles boys U/12 and was the winner of the boys U/12 doubles for the third consecutive time.

Kyla Gobby reached the quarter finals in the singles girls U/10 and the semi-finals in the doubles. Arron van Eck reached the semi-finals in the boys U/10 doubles.
