Good weekend for Kempton’s junior cricket teams

Most of the teams won their games

THE junior teams of Kempton Park Junior Cricket Club had a good weekend with most teams winning their matches.

U/8B1 beat Benoni Northerns by four wickets. Benoni batted first and scored 116/9 with Ethan Muller taking 3/16 and Christopher Bennett 1/8.

Kempton scored 118/6 with James Howard scoring 30* and Kian Patterson eight.

U/8B2 beat Avion by seven wickets. Avion batted first and scored 71/4 with Ethan James taking 1/2 and Careem Swanepoel 1/6.

Kempton reached the target in the 14th over with Joshua Hosking scoring 21* and Ethan James 10*.

U/10 super league beat Duduza by 71 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 185/6 with Jarrod Kyle scoring a quick-fire 50 off 30 balls and Connor le Grange 37 off 34 balls.

Duduza managed 114 all out with Divan de Vries taking 3/7 in four overs.

U/12 super league beat Boksburg by 10 wickets. Boksburg batted first and were bowled out for 43 with Nathan Walton taking 4/9.

Kempton reached the target without losing a wicket and Dylan Nicholas scored 19* and James Enslin 17*.

U/12A2 lost to Bakerton by five runs. Bakerton batted first and scored 120/8 with Le Roux de Vries taking 3/14 in five overs.

Kempton managed 115/4 in their 25 overs with Ruan van Heerden scoring 34*.
