Ringball development days at schools

No experience is necessary, just bring your tekkies

EKURHULENI North Schools ringball (previously known as korfbal) will host development days at Hoërskool Birchleigh, Hoërskool Brandwag and Hoërskool Kempton Park on February 17 and 19 from 3pm to 6pm.

Players from all schools, between the ages of nine and 18, are welcome to join. No experience is necessary, just bring your tekkies.

Ringball is a growing sport within Ekurhuleni and South Africa at large.

Ekurhuleni North Schools Ringball is by far the largest schools ringball union in South Africa.

Last year 688 learners from u-9 to u-18 participated in the schools league. A total of 176 of these players were chosen to represent the Ekurhuleni district at the national championships in Margate in October last year.

Many were chosen for national teams and eight received Protea colours.

The theme for 2016 is growth. The association aims to grow the sport within the district by at least 20 per cent.
