4-2 victory for Amadamara in Top 8 Tournament final

Even though Amadamara gave Sgodi a tough time, Sgodi was able to score two goals before the end of the match.

Amadamara beat Sgodi 4-2 in the Top 8 Tournament final, which was played on Sunday at the Phomolong sports grounds.

Amadamara player and coach, Petros “Shoes” Sehlapelo, said Amadamara’s first game in the tournament was difficult as the team only had 11 players on the field.

“Some players were playing for professional sides in the league. Despite this, we managed to win 3-0,” he said.

Sehlepelo said the second game featured all the team player’s and Amadamara won 3-0 against another side from Phomolong.

“In our final game, the team performed well. By then, all the players had trained together,” he said.

In the first 45 minutes of the final game, which saw Amadamara taking on Sgodi, Benny scored the first goal for Amadamara.

In the second half of the game, Thlalefo scored a second goal for Amadamara and Benny came back with a third goal.

Amadamara’s coach removed the injured Tsepo Mohuno and replaced him with Fakesihle.

“Sihle made a huge difference when he came on. The opponents were attacking us from the middle and we were forced to make another substitution. We took Jerry out and we put Chris on the field,” he said.

Sehlepelo said Amadamara wanted to manage their opponents from the middle.

Even though Amadamara gave Sgodi a tough time, Sgodi was able to score two goals before the end of the match.

Benny scored the team’s fourth goal, securing victory for Amadamara with a final score of 4-2.
