Kempton’s junior cricket results

Only two teams lost their matches

ONLY two teams of Kempton Park Junior Cricket Club lost its match the past weekend.

The results were:

U/8 B1 lost to Avion by 29 runs. Avion batted first and scored 89/8 with Jadon Havinga taking 1/2, James Howard 1/5 and Ethan Muller 1/5.

Kempton managed 60 all out with Ethan Kotze getting 13* and Christopher Bennett 10*.

U8 B2 beat Boksburg by 54 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 108/3 with Luke Harwood scoring 12*, Tristan Westman 8* and Ethan James 8*.

Boksburg reached 54/8 in its allotted overs with Ethan James taking 2/5, Joshua Hosking 2/8 and Troy Gordon 2/0.

U/10 super league beat Springs Old Boys. Kempton batted first and scored 120/10. Top batsmen were Kyle Stevens 24, Jarrod Kyle 18 and Marko van Voorst 14.

Kempton’s bowling and fielding were tight and neat. The best bowlers were Jacques Naude (4 overs 2/5, man of the match), Divan de Vries (5 overs 2/19), Kyle Stevens (2 overs 1/5) and Ian van Rhyn (4 overs 1/7).

U/10 A1 beat U/10 A2 by 10 runs. U/10 A1 batted first and scored 138/9 with Martin Williams getting 38 and Pranav Suryavedara 27.

U/10 A2 reached 128/4 with Ryan Moravec getting 23, Ian Jonker 22* and Matthew Keating 23*.

U/12 super league beat Springs Old Boys by 51 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 113/9 with a classy innings of 36 from Devon Joyce.

Kempton’s best bowling display of the season put SOB under pressure with Phillip Schoeman taking 3/2 and Jared Sandler 3/16.

U/14 super league drew against Actonville. Kempton batted first and scored 125/6.

Actonville managed to equal this score on the last ball with 9 wickets down.

Man of the match was Justin Bennett with a wonderful bowling spell of 3/26 in 6 overs.
