Laduma draws against White Birds

Against the run of play, White Birds netted a third goal through Tumisane Sibiya from a long range.

A friendly match between Laduma FC of U/15 and White Birds FC of U/15 ended in a 3-3 draw.

The two met in an entertaining game at Ivory Park, Extension 15 Sports Grounds on Saturday last week.

At the start of the game the White Birds opened the scoreboard through their reliable midfield Temosho Manyake, who scored from a penalty 15 minutes in.

The penalty came after Laduma’s player received a yellow card for misconduct.

White Birds scored their second goal through well-placed left winger, Sfiso Mahlangu, after he received a well-timed pass from Philmon Mashabela.

White Birds players kept control of the game after the second and limited the number of chances for the opposition to fight for an equaliser.

At the end of the first half, the score was 2-0.

In the second half, both teams came back organised and Phillip Salim, a striker for Laduma, finally managed to score a goal for his team.

Against the run of play, White Birds netted a third goal through Tumisane Sibiya from a long range.

Laduma started to pick up pace as Sphesihle Ndebele managed to dribble past his opponents and the keeper and put the ball behind the net.

White Birds players seemed to have underestimated Laduma and were a bit relaxed.

Laduma scored their equaliser through Themba Mamba, from a penalty.

When the referee blew the whistle to end the game, the score was 3-3.
