Budler loses his title

He lost the fight over 12 rounds

HEKKIE Budler lost his WBA/IBO minimum-weight champion of the world title at the Supercharged Box and Dine hosted by Golden Gloves at Emperors Palace on March 19.

Budler defended his title against Byron Rojas of Nicaragua and lost over 12 rounds.

During the same tournament Joshua Studdard beat Morabedi Khotle over six rounds in a unanimous points decision in the junior bantamweight division.

Challenger Warren Joubert beat Grant Fourie over 12 rounds. Joubert is the new SA/WBA interim Pan African junior welterweight title-holder.

Champion Paul Kamanga (DRC) successfully defended his title over 12 rounds against Russian, Roman Balaev. Kamanga is still the WBA Pan African welterweight title holder.
