Ace Mates claims victory against La Liga

Ace Mates FC defeated La Liga FC 2-1 during the Tembisa Masters Social League game encounter at Mehlareng Stadium on Sunday.
From the first minute, both teams showed determination and neither team wanted a defeat.

Ace Mates FC’s players were unable to score during the first half of the match.
Going into the second half, the Ace Mates players were under a lot of pressure to equalise before La Liga extended the lead.
Ace Mates equalised through their right winger Jabu Maapola, who managed to put the ball behind the net. La Liga had no build strategy as they failed to score goals after numerous goal opportunities, whereas Ace Mates utilised every chance right up to the end.
After much dribbling and a number of fouls, Ace Mates’s reliable striker Rodney Somo extended the lead.
The game ended with a final score of 2-1, in favour of Ace Mates FC.
Ace Mates FC’s coach, Abram Malatji, said he was pleased with the performance of his players from the beginning of the game.
“They showed team spirit and were really determined to win the match. I am impressed and looking forward to our next encounter,” said Mr Malatji.
