Young rider jumps to glory

He scored 700 points for his school and 748 for him as rider

ZAYDE Coverwell, a learner at Laerskool Impala, achieved first place in the 50cm and 50cm time trial at the fourth and final Sanesa qualifier on June 25.

At the age of eight, he was the youngest rider in the 7-13 age group to take an amazing first place in the final Sanesa 50cm jump and time trial.

He scored 700 points for his school and 748 for him as rider.

During the third Sanesa qualifier on May 21, this grade 2 learner received a fifth place in the 50cm jump and was sixth in the 50cm jump competition with a brilliant time of 36.44 seconds.

He made 191 points for him as rider and 365 points for Laerskool Impala.

On May 28 the young rider took part in the Winstead Stables show competition. His results were:

50cm – clear round rosette

55cm jump and time competition – second in all age groups

60cm jump and time competition – first in all age groups

Zayde was the youngest rider in this competition of all age groups from primary, high school and riders above 40.
