Ekurhuleni junior picked for U-16 SA team

ONE of Ekurhuleni’s top junior golfers will represent South Africa at the 10th Reply Italian International Under-16 Championship at Golf Club Biella at the end of August.

The South African Golf Association (SAGA) named Ekurhuleni’s Jayden Schaper, Wilco Nienaber from the Free State, Christo Lamprecht and Martin Vorster from Southern Cape to fly the South African flag in the prestigious international championship, at the Golf Club Biella, from August 30 to September 1.

Schaper won the Nomads SA Boys U-15 Championship in January.

The Ebotse golfer also notched back-to-back victories in the Nomads Inland National Order of Merit event at Modderfontein and the Tshwane Junior Open to move to third in the standings in July.
