Golf day at local club in aid of Ernie Els charity
The entry fee includes an Ernie Els gift bag
KEMPTON Park Golf Club will host a charity golf day in aid of Ernie Els’ autism foundation, Els for Autism.
The club was the first golf club of the now four-times major champion.
The Ernie Els Centre for Autism provides lower-resourced families of children on the autism spectrum with free comprehensive training on how to use best practices in education and autism treatment to teach their child via a multi-faceted e-learning solution.
Els founded the centre after his son Ben had been diagnosed with autism.
The festival will kick off with a pro-am on August 29, followed by a captain’s challenge on August 30 and the Els for Autism Day on August 31.
The entry fee for the autism fundraiser is R4 000 a fourball or R2 000 a betterball. Tee-off will be from 11am.
Your entry includes a direct contribution to the autism centre, green fees, an Ernie Els gift bag (including a bottle of Ernie Els wine and an Ernie Els design golf cap), halfway house, prize-giving dinner and an opportunity to bid on some exclusive Ernie Els auction items.
The winners will proceed to play in the final at Highland Gate where they will get the chance to play for a spot in the SA Open pro-am.
