Umfuyaneng defeats Esangweni 4-1
The two teams started the match on a high note but, it was Esangweni boys who registered a first goal through their reliable striker Junior Ngwenya in the eighth minute of the first half.
Umfuyaneng section-based, HB Youngsters FC, took on Esangweni team, Juventus FC, in a friendly match encounter at Tlamatlama Sports Ground 7 on Saturday last week.
The two teams started the match on a high note but, it was Esangweni boys who registered a first goal through their reliable striker Junior Ngwenya in the eighth minute of the first half.
Esangweni team took the lead, as they were more dominant and led in ball possession.
Umfuyaneng missed out on some attempts at goal close to the end of the first half, leaving the score on 1-0 in favour of Esangweni.
In the second half, Umfuyaneng came back well organised and managed to score through their left winger Phumudzo Muthelo.
After they managed to secure an equaliser, Umfuyaneng team made two changes, which gave them the upper hand.
The game changers were Lukhanyo Masumpa and Bheki Mathe who managed to steer their team back in the right direction.
On the other hand, Esangweni, seemed to be relaxed and did not make enough efforts to maintain their advantage, which cost them the game.
The game ended up in a 4-1 lead, victory for Umfuyaneng.
