Kempton's senior side beat Bedfordview by 13 runs

THE inclement weather of the past week played havoc with Kempton Park Junior Cricket Club’s weekend fixtures, leaving most pitches waterlogged and unplayable.

The following matches did however, go ahead:

U/8A tied with United. Batting first, Kempton scored 88/7, with Dino Binks making 26* and Guillaume Botha 5. In their reply, United got as far as 88/8, with Siharan Govender, Ethan Kotze and Ethan Muller each taking 2/4. Man of the match was Siharan Govender.

U/12B-1 beat Boksburg by 6 wickets. Devin Hindry was awarded man of the match for his 17* not out and 1/9 in four overs. The best bowler was Justin Mostert (2/15) and Lucian Vorster top scored with 18* (not out).

Kempton’s senior side beat Bedfordview by 13 runs in a closely contested match.

The man of the match award was shared by Guillaume van Niekerk for his contribution of 57 with the bat; and Nathan Walton for his bowling performance of 2/4 in three overs.
