ALL Avion Junior Cricket Club’s matches for the weekend had been cancelled due to rain.
However, two senior sides were in action.
The promotion side took on Tembisa at Rhodesfield Technical High School. Avion batted first and scored 331 all out.
Tembisa were bowled out for a mere 57 in 15.5 overs.
Avion’s top performers were Shaun Aldridge (63), Marcel Jacobs (89*), Joshua Wilken (5/17) and Wilhelm Bester (3/16).
The Colts beat Wattville at Barnard Stadium. Avion scored 246/10, after which Wattville were bowled out for 71 in 20 overs. Avion won by 175 runs.
Avion’s best players were Zander Smith (57), Devon Pienaar (49), Francoise Stoman (29 and 2/11), Dean Holtman (22 and 5/24) and Marius Conradie (25*).
