Victory for MO-Stars

MO-Stars FC wins tournament three times in a row.

MO-Stars FC won the top tournament for the third time in succession on Sunday.

MO-Stars FC’s coach, Muzi “MZ” Mncube, said their first game against Ivory FC was a walk in the park as they beat their opponents 4-0.

“Ivory FC was not our match. The game was easy. We scored the first two goals within two minutes into the first half of the game. The other two goals were scored in the second half,” said MZ.

The first goal for MO-Stars FC was scored by Jabulane “Sjava” Masango, while Lerato “Mdeva” Lebello sent the second one straight into the back of the net.

It proved to be difficult for both teams to secure another goal until the referee blew the whistle for the half-time break.

When the second half of the match began, MO-Stars FC’s Mandilakhe “Xavi” Jojo did not hesitate to shoot a crushing goal that saw the Ivory FC lagging behind 3-0.

Bafana “Predator” Ramoadi secured the fourth and the final goal for MO-Stars FC first game.

The second game for MO-Stars FC was against Moris FC, where they won 5-4 on penalties following a 0-0 draw.

MZ said the third and final game was difficult because the opponents was stronger.

Bafana “Predator” Ramoadi was not deterred though when he tore into the opponent’s defence and scored the only goal 15, minutes into the final match.

“The opponents were shooting long balls, therefore we had to come up with a plan of playing the opposite strategy by retaining the ball and playing short passes,” said MZ.

He said in the first half of the final game there was no need for substitutes because the MO-Stars FC players were in good shape and were playing very well.

In the second half Sjava had to make way and let Xavi take to the pitch, while Tsholofelo “Jah-man” Mojalefa had to relieve Predator.

“Both substitutes were relevant because the players were tired,” said MZ.

He said towards the end of the game David “Mdeva” Lebello was punished with a red card due to his bad tackling.

“I had to strengthen my defence by replacing Sfiso “Pin” Dlamini with Mandla “Smash” Sdinile,” said MZ.

He said this is not their last tournament for the year and he said he is proud because some of his boys were selected to play in the coming Philly’s games.

He said for his players to be chosen it proved that his team has talent.
