U/14 SL team ends first half on high note
Most of the team members will leave the club next year
THE U/14 super league team of Kempton Park Cricket Club ended the first half of the season on a high note, beating Duduza by 62 runs.
Kempton batted first and scored 185/4, with Devon Joyce scoring 93 runs and Dayan Govender reaching 33 runs not out.
Duduza were then restricted to 123 all out, with both Connor Grobler and Nico du Plessis taking 3/17.
The man of the match was shared between Joyce, Grobler and Du Plessis for their contributions.
This team has performed extremely well and of the seven games played during the first half of the season, they have lost only one.
Most of the players will leave the club as they are moving to high schools which fall beyond the boundaries of Easterns Cricket.
The club wishes them all the very best in both their cricket and schooling careers and thanks them for their contribution to the club over the years.
