Payne and Jackal will go down to the wire

Payne has challenged The Jackal several times for the Hardcore title and has been unsuccessful so far

KEMPTON’S pro-wrestler Hector Payne will go down to the wire in an attempt to win the SA Pro Wrestling (SAPW) Hardcore title from The Jackal on March 4 at Brakpan Indoor Sport Centre.

The event, Home of Hardcore, will feature five matches and will be the first of its kind in South Africa.

The one-year rivalry between SAPW Hardcore champion The Jackal and Hector Payne will come to an end in a “barbwire match” where the ring ropes will be covered in barbed wire.

Payne has challenged The Jackal several times for the Hardcore title and has been unsuccessful so far.

SAPW heavyweight champion The Crow will take on Harliquinn for the title in a traditional SAPW Hardcore match to settle old scores between them.

Other wrestlers include Griffin, Big Fire, Cowboy and, from Honour Wrestling Association, Steve Eden and The Ripper, and from Xtreme Wrestling Entertainment, Monre Lee and Warlock.

The event starts at 6.30pm and gates open at 6pm. Tickets are R40 a person for the front row and R20 a person for normal seating.

For tickets, call Gerhard Kuyper on 083-287-1735 or Julius Reichel on 073-241-3013.

Tickets will also be available at the door.
