STUDENTS of Nova Kickboxing took part in three tournaments the past few weeks.
At the Eastern Gauteng trials, Divan Viljoen, Duncan Viljoen and Mikayla Humphris were chosen to go to the South African Championships in Durban at the end of April.
At the World United Martial Arts Competition Mikayla took a first place and Divan and Duncan a second and third respectively.
At the Great North 1, where the top kickboxing clubs in the north compete and which is seen as the toughest competition, Nova students did well again.
Mikayla was second, Divan, Duncan and Samantha fourth and Adel Otto, in her first tournament, came third.
All Nova students are semi-contact fighters.
