Strikers beats Rovers

Laduma Strikers FC played against Real Rovers FC in a friendly match at the Ivory Park Sports Grounds on Sunday.

Laduma Strikers managed a 4-2 win in what proved to be a fast paced match where both sides showed their eagerness to come out on top.

The two teams started the game on a high note, but it was Real Rovers that recorded the first goal through attacking midfielder Thulani Shiphalane from a long range.

Lindo Mapei of Real Rovers managed to increase the score when he dribbled past his opponents and put the ball behind the net.

Laduma Strikers, however, were not prepared to go down without a fight, and in about 20 minutes, Franz Matlou scored his only goal for his team.

Against the run of play, Boitumelo Matshoga managed to score the equalising goal for his side.

After they managed to secure an equaliser, Laduma Strikers brought one more change, which gave them the upper hand.

The game-changer was Nathi Nyoni, who managed to steer his team back in the right direction.

The second stanza saw both sides playing mostly at the centre; however, the Laduma Strikers ruled this half, as they were more eager to take the victory home.

On the other hand, Real Rovers seemed to be relaxed and did not make enough effort to maintain their advantage, which cost them the game.

Aphiwe Nkwai of Laduma Strikers managed to use his chance and scored a fourth goal, which put his team in the lead.

Numerous attempts by Real Rovers to up their score were unsuccessful, leaving the final score at 4-2.
