TUFA to host its prize-giving ceremony on Saturday

The Tembisa United Football Association (TUFA) will be hosting its prize giving ceremony at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday, July 15.

The event will be held from 9am to 4pm.

TUFA, sponsored by Hatfield VW, is a member of the South African Football Association (SAFA).

All football teams that are part and parcel of TUFA are invited to attend the ceremony.

According to the league’s coordinator, Elias Mashego, new interested football clubs are also invited to join in the ceremony as there will be an hour briefing session and application forms will be issued on the day.

“Local teams from u-13, u-15 and promotion teams will be receiving their awards as the league champions. Premier soccer teams will be rewarded during the 2016/2017 seasonal prize giving,” said Mashego.

He said TUFA is all about developing youngsters in football and promoting a talent.

“We are encouraging young football teams to register for the upcoming season. The league has been there for over 10 years now and making a difference in the community. Most of our players are scouted from the league by professional soccer coaches and we also recommend our outstanding players to professional developing teams,” said Mashego.
