‘Piranhas’ score points at gala

THE new ESP “Home of Piranhas” had three new members selected to compete for EGA at the small inter-district championships.

The event took place at the indoor Boksburg North pool where Eastern Gauteng won the competition. Five districts took part.

Kent Field, Morgan Corns and Mikayle Pon were selected to represent Ekurhuleni for the first time. Mikayle’s girl relay team won gold. Kent surprised everyone winning a silver medal in a personal best time.

Kyle McKenzie won a gold in the 200 individual medley, posting his best time for the season and another gold in the men’s 16-year relay.

Bernelee Doster claimed a bronze with her best time in the 100m breaststroke.
