KEMPTON Park Junior Cricket Club’s results for the past week:
U-8 Sun faced Tembisa and batting first, posting 149/0. Lincoln Casais 31* and Jadon Havinga 14*.
Kempton bowled the visitors out for nine runs. Man of the match Jordan Reid took a hat-trick in his single over with 3/0.
U-8 Carnival Blue beat Carnival Yellow by nine wickets. The man of the match award went to Tertius van der Walt for his nine runs, 2/6 and a stumping.
Other performers were Tristan Brits (9, 2/6), Nathan Ferreira (6, 1/3) and Keanu le Roux (6).
U-10 Carnival Yellow lost to Champions by six wickets. Kempton 116/5. Champions 119/4. Man of the match was awarded to Joshua Venter (39*).
U-10 Carnival Blue lost to Boksburg. Despite a determined team performance, Kempton fell short by 15 runs.
U-12 Impala Pink beat Springs Old Boys by 52 runs. Losing the toss, Kempton was sent in to bat with man of the match Connor le Grange making 52 retired, Jarrod Kyle 37* and Kyle Stevens 20.
Chasing 174 for victory, Kempton restricted the visitors to 122 with Joshua Shanker taking 2/17, Jordan Southey 1/11 and Jacques Naude 1/12.
U-12 Impala Blue beat United by three wickets. Winning the toss, Kempton elected to field first and bowled United out for 113. Janrik van Wyk 2/5, Malcolm Janse van Rensburg 2/16 and Keegan Lewis 1/8.
In reply, Kempton reached the target in 21 overs with Keegan Lewis 35, Tiaan Pryor 26* and Kyle Skillings 13.
U-12 Carnival Blue beat Etatwa by 22 runs. Batting first, Kempton scored 115/6 with Luan Jordaan making 36.
Kempton bowled out the opposition for 93 with Declan Nel taking 3/20 and Kyle Naicker 2/3.
U-12 Carnival Yellow faced Nigel in a home fixture. Kempton won the toss and chose to bowl first. The visitors were in good form with the bat, posting a formidable 212.
Kempton in reply was bowled out for 74 runs, handing Nigel a 138-run victory.
U-14 Impala lost to Avion by seven wickets. Darien Claasen earned the man of the match award for his 42 runs.
U-14 Sun Blue beat Alberton by seven runs. Bowling figures of 4/16 earned Liam Burgan the man of the match award, while Jared van Deventer backed up with some exemplary spin bowling.
Run scorers Adam Pansegrouw and Yasheer Ramsundar just missed out on a 50-run partnership.
