The UK team will be going up against SA’s finest racing drivers

PETROL heads and big fans of the 2-litre Hotrod race will enjoy yet another spectacular battle on February 3 between South Africa and the United Kingdom for the second round of the scheduled tour at the Rock Raceway Circuit in Brakpan.

The competition will feature Kempton Park’s very own André Pitzer, who was awarded SA2 status at the World of Motorsport ZA (WOMZA) of 2011.

On the side of UK will be Boxer Jack (331), Ian Boumont (713), Jock Camble (26), Keith Martin (994), Bobby Johnson (972), Martin Heath (415) and Dick Hillard (31).

The UK team will be going up against SA’s finest racing drivers, including one of SA’s top women drivers, Chantelle Lewis. The Pretoria race driver was awarded SA2 status at the WOMZA of 2017.

The 2L Hotrod Tour will be complemented with a full race programme of other oval track disciplines, including some Formula N circuit racing.

The gates will be open at 10am as competitors will take to the circuit for practice sessions throughout the day. Racing will begin at 4pm.

Entry for adults will be R100 and children between the ages of six and 12 will pay R40.
