Kasi Top 8 soccer tournament resumes in Winnie Mandela

Tembisa’s most-attended tournament resumes this weekend after the holiday break.

Winnie Mandela Zone 6 will host a Top 8 tournament to give young footballers a platform to show off their talent.

The tournament’s spokesperson, Ricky ‘LF’ Mokgalaka, said the weekly tournament kicks off this weekend.

“The tournament started around 2006 and gained strength and popularity as seasons went by,” said Mokgalaka. “It is on the same field where current professionals like Punch Masenamela, Thabo Matlaba, Tshepo Matete, Judas Moseamedi, Khutjo Mohwatseleng, Kagiso Senamela and Mothusi Gopane used to entertain crowds.”

Mokgalaka said the most-attended tournament in Tembisa resumes this weekend after closing for the holidays on December 3.
