Child Welfare Kempton Park to tee off at the Kempton Park Golf Club in April.
Child Welfare Kempton Park will host a golf day fund-raiser event at Kempton Park Golf Club on April 6.
“The purpose of this event is to raise funds that will enable the organisation to extend its services to children who are abused, neglected, abandoned, trafficked and sometimes used as prostitutes and drug peddlers,” said Makha Thusi, director at Child Welfare Kempton Park.
“Currently, 2 000 children, their families, communities in Kempton Park and the neighbouring informal settlements are assisted by the organisation.”
Thusi also said this event is one of the ways the organisation is trying to use to get rid of its serious financial challenges, which negatively impact on the organisation’s sustainability and service delivery to children who are in need of care and protection.
“Child welfare is currently experiencing huge financial challenges and without the support of the community and other stakeholders, it will be impossible to achieve its vision and mission, which is mainly child protection,” said Thusi.
“The organisation invites the community, business and private sectors to support its networking and brand exposure along with a magnificent round of good golf.
“This event will offer invaluable brand interaction, marketing and exposure to connect with new clients. All sponsorships will be recognised publicly and all contributions are welcome.”
The package options available for the golf day are:
• Fourball R2 800 (includes green fees, prizes, dinner and welcome bag).
• Sponsored holes R1 000 (allocated on first come, first served basis).
• Package deal R4 500 (fourball and sponsored hole).
• Dinner tickets for non-golfers R100.
