Liebenberg is 2018 club champion at Kempton Park Golf Club
Great tee-off action at the Kempton Park Golf Club 2018 Championships.
The Kempton Park Golf Club 2018 Championships was held at the golf club over the weekend.
The 36-hole tournament was held on Saturday and Sunday from the early hours on both days.
“The event went well and our golfers showed impressive skills which gave way to good golf and healthy competition,” said the club’s golf director, Michael Sebanz.

“The tournament saw 128 golfers take part in the annual event.”
Young and old were seen on the course vying for the top spot over the two days.
“The youngest player who participated in the tournament is 13-year-old Jonathon Wilsenach, who is also among the talented players at the club,” said Sebanz.
“All our golfers, from junior level, are talented.”
Sebanz also said the passion and co-operation of the golfers contributed to the success of the event.
The golfers were generally friendly and open to chat with EXPRESS but it was a different case when they had to aim and take a shot at the nearest hole as they just zone out and focus solemnly on their target.
Some of the great moments and great achievements from the tournament were recognised and awarded at the prize-giving held on Sunday evening.
It came as no surprise when 18-year-old Louis Liebenberg took the club champion as he was leading on the Saturday having scored 68.
